Preparing accurate views

In order to allow a project to be correctly assessed, modern practice requires that a number of agreed views have been created using an accurate and independently verifiable method. These “Accurate Visual Representations” are generally prepared using carefully recorded photographs whose location has been surveyed in a systematic way. This allows computer generated images of the scheme to be accurately projected and integrated with the existing context. Initially these images might show a simple silhouette (AVR1) to confirm the massing and degree of visibility, but can subsequently be developed into fully rendered images of the building in a photographic style (AVR3). Where relevant, other un-built buildings visible in the images are included with equivalent accuracy.
